We had a great tour of the Westmorland-Albert Solid Waste Commission on Friday. They have an activity book you can print out here if you are working on some follow up lessons.
Some people were asking about composting so I thought I'd do some digging into that. No pun intended! We live out in the woods so we just have a compost pile but I'd like to build something more permanent as it is basically a crow/skunk/raccoon feeding station now.
These sites give lots of ideas on composting whether you have acres to work with or just a small space in the city.
